Our Core Values
Empowerment Through Support
-
At Alternative Child and Youth Services (ACYS), we help families recognize their strengths and build on them—creating space for growth, healing, and resilience.
Anti-Oppressive & Trauma-Informed Practice
-
We are committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces that respect lived experience, challenge systemic inequities, and honor each family’s unique identity and story.
Strength-Based Care
-
We focus on what’s working—not just what’s hard. We support families in ways that build capacity, restore confidence, and celebrate progress at every step.
Real Support for Real Life
-
Our services are designed to be accessible, practical, and rooted in the everyday realities of families—offering solutions that feel supportive, not overwhelming.
ACYS believes that early, consistent support helps prevent future challenges. By combining wellness education, nutrition literacy, academic support, and peer mentorship, we help children and youth build lifelong skills while empowering parents with guidance and resources.
